Little kitty was in the snow cold and oh so lonely bring him in and warm him up Name him Macaroni
This little guy’s name is Macaroni and he was found after we had a couple nights of below 0 temperatures. He had severe frostbite on his ears, along his mouth, his nose, and on the pads of his paws. We managed to save him for the most part, but his ear tips were too far gone to save. In spite of it all, Macaroni is a ball of warm fluff with a friendly personality! The second i walked by his kennel, he let out a tiny mew and rubbed on the door, and while i was petting him, he couldn’t stop rubbing on my hands. He’d make the perfect companion for someone who can give him a loving, warm home.
Anyone not married by age 25 gets a spouse assigned to them by the government. You are fine with that: most matches are a success and it’s less effort for you. But it’s your wedding day and you’ve just met your match. You cannot imagine how this was the person they chose for you…..!
… you’re walking down the aisle. It’s dark outside the chapel and your phone is dead. As you approach the altar, you see him- Shia LaBeouf.
WAIT! He isn’t wed, SHIA SURPRISE! There’s a ring in his hand and love in his eyes!
The match is approved by everybody… Looks like you’re happily engaged to Superstar Shia LaBeouf.
Y’know what I think would be funny in ME:Andromeda?
If Ryder was an excellent dancer. Like, if the development team intentionally put Time and Effort into making the smoothest coolest best damn dancing animation ever seen in video games just for Ryder. Ryder would be known throughout the galaxies for their pop-n-lock skills. Their vogueing would cause everyone who sees it to fall in love. They have classical ballet training. They’re just amazing.
It would be really nice if people could please stop claiming that it took an antisemitic joke for Disney to drop PewDiePie despite all his prior racist and misogynistic content.
PewDiePie has expressed antisemitic and Nazi sentiments in his videos long before this incident with fiverr.
August 7, 2016: PewDiePie, wearing a Make America Great Again hat, begins his video with a swastika and other Nazi imagery, and uses a photo of Hitler as a segue between clips
September 24, 2016: In a video criticising YouTube policy, he shows a clip of Hitler giving a speech
October 15, 2016: PewDiePie posts swastikas drawn by his fans
December 8, 2016: PewDiePie wears a brown military uniform while watching a Hitler clip at the end of his video
Antisemitic website the Daily Stormer has also given PewDiePie praise for Nazi imagery in his videos, writing:
“PewDiePie is /ourguy/.
This latest video is unapologetically full-Nazi.
The guy has 52 million subscribers, compared to the number 2 YouTuber that has 30 million. He is arguably the most watched person on the planet.
And he is pushing hardcore GTKRWN materials.
In this video, he calls out the Jews for killing Jesus, and points out several times that Hitler did nothing wrong.
At the very least, he is making the masses comfortable with our ideas.
I hope he keeps doing this – staying chill, I mean. Not going too far. I think he’s aware that he’s eventually going to get banned – if he wasn’t ready for that, he wouldn’t be calling out the Jews head-on like this.”
So please understand that he’s targeted Jews in the past without major outrage or punishment. He’s used Nazi imagery as a joke in his videos before. The “death to all Jews” video that caused outrage wasn’t the first antisemitic video PewDiePie posted. He’s also racist and misogynistic and he should have been called out on these things and dropped a long time ago.
But his antisemitic content neither began nor ended with the Fiverr video.
😔seeing it all later out like this makes me feel like an idiot for not putting it together sooner. Though I haven’t watched him frequently for a very long time so there’s that too.
I think I’ve had a lot of willful ignorance concerning Pewdie because I wanted so badly for him to turn out decent
But it’s always been in the context of satire. To think that pewdiepie is actually antisemitic says more about your ability to understand satire and context than it does about Felix’s hatred of jews.
In order for something to be satirical, it must use irony and exaggeration in order to criticize or mock a political stance or other topic. PewDiePie isn’t expressing any kind of criticism of Nazism or antisemitism or racism or misogyny. He just says “death to all Jews!” and we’re supposed to laugh. Perhaps his humor relies on the “obviousness” that wishing death on Jews is a “bad thing.” But as many Jews have said and will continue to say, it’s not a universally agreed upon notion that wishing all Jews dead is bad. He’s been promoted and praised by actual (Neo) Nazis. Do you typically see satirical works being praised by those they are supposedly satirizing? I don’t care if PDP really believes the bullshit he’s saying. The point is there are plenty of people in his audience who do believe it.
““This is about the time, when I talk about politics, that the
Internet trolls tell me to stick to my day job,” the actor said. “I’d
like to talk about my day job. My day job is the chairman and the
co-founder of Thorn. We built software to fight human trafficking and
the sexual exploitation of children. My other day job is that of the
father of two, a 2-month old and 2-year-old.”
He then described joining the FBI in raids in India, Russia, Mexico and stateside in New Jersey and New York.
“I’ve seen things that no person should ever see,” he said, tearing
up. “I’ve seen video content of a child that is the same age as mine
being raped by an American man that was a sex tourist in Cambodia. This
child was so conditioned by her environment that she thought she was
engaging in play.”
He continued, “I’ve been on the other end of a phone call from my team
asking for my help because we had received a call from the Department of
Homeland Security, telling us that a 7-year-old girl was being sexually
abused and that content was being spread on the Dark Web … They’d
watched her for three years and they could not find the perpetrator, [and were] asking us for help. We were the last line of defense. An actor and his foundation were the last line of defense.”
“I had to say no and it devastated me, it haunted me,” Kutcher said,
choking up again. “For the next three months I had to go to sleep every
night and think about that little girl that was being abused and the
fact that if I built the right thing, we could have saved her. Now, if I
got that phone call, the answer would be yes.”
He then recalled the story of “Amy,” a 15-year-old girl from Oakland,
Calif., who was forced into trafficking within hours of meeting a man
in person she’d first talked to online. “This isn’t an isolated
incident. There’s not much that’s unusual about it,” Kutcher said. “The
only unusual thing is that ‘Amy’ was found and returned to her family
within three days using a tool we created … called Spotlight.”
Kutcher said the tool aids police in cutting investigation time by 60
percent, adding, “That’s my day job and I’m sticking to it.”
It wasn’t all heavy: Kutcher and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) had a lighthearted moment after his speech. “You were better looking in the movies,” McCain said.
Slavery is still alive and well in the world, and he is helping to stamp it out.
Well damn, I’ll give Kutcher credit.
He’s a good man. Glad this is now his day job. He’s good at it. This is the type of shit that other celebs should do, rather than whine and virtue signal.
Agreed. Use those millions for something real, not for virtue signalling.
my feminist goal is not to convince men that girls are of value, my feminist goal is to achieve a future where the judgement of our value isn’t in the hands of men.
and this goes for, especially goes for, trans girls, girls of colour, disabled girls and LGBTQA+ girls.
girls, all girls, and if you believe otherwise don’t reblog this.
